The Virunga National Park now accepts cryptocurrency donations

The park in the Republic of Congo is Africa’s largest nature reserve. You can now help animals by donating cryptocurrencies.

According to a press release on Virunga’s website, the funds will be used to preserve the famous mountain gorilla and its habitat. This is a vital challenge because human economic activity has an unavoidable impact on the environment in which these amazing animals live.

Funds are spent on the care of living creatures in Virunga Park, which is teeming with animals. It will cost a lot of money. Considering how easy it is to accept payment in cryptocurrencies, the park’s management agreed to add 12 digital assets to the payment at once. It’s basically BTC, BCH, and ETH.

Employees at the park also explain why it is profitable to render cryptocurrency donations. According to them, payments in cryptocurrencies for charitable purposes are not taxed in many areas. This means that these contributions would not be subject to capital gains tax.

Donations in cryptocurrencies appear to be tax-effective. They are also quick and easy. Officials at the park hope that the change will increase the amount of donations.

The funds will be used to protect the park’s rich biodiversity, to create renewable energy facilities, to pay for rangers, and for a variety of other annual expenses.
